Rapidshare.de is free, you do not need to pay money to upload and download files.

Having a Premium Account (which costs money) is just for ultra-fast downloads etc. As long as you can get access to a fast internet connection it doesn't take too long to download a file for free.

true, but there are exeptions .. in case your ISP is using proxy server and your IP is not static, other freeloaders connected to the same nod might deplete your download credit very quickly because just one address is recorded (they even disable it for some time if the amount of data exceeds a certain level).. account is cookie based, therefore unique .. also heard about extension of the waiting peridod between dls to 120 minuts (here´s a hint to some of the contributors here - don´t split the large vids to 20-40MB archives, take advantage of the 100MB limit, files are much easier to grab then )

Talking about RS accounts, try to support the site financially. All that SCSI RAID storage servers and optical fibre hook-ups, or whatever they are using, are most probably not for free.

Wow, reading through a 60-page forum takes a while. Has anyone else noticed that sometimes rapidshare acts... odd? For instance, yesterday it let me download 7 files at once with no account. And tonight, its letting me download as many files as I want one after another. And these are like 50MB files.

But anyway, a VERY big, heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone that has posted links in in this thread. I plan to start uploading soon for my first time, but haven't managed to alot the time for it.
