I agree. Got my copy in the mail. Hef's new GFs are ridiculously average and from what I understand, there will be a combined July/Aug issue to save costs, hence the twins being Ms July and Ms August.

With all due respect to Hef and all he has done in his career, this guy lost his touch a long time ago. The best thing for Pla***y would be for him to retire or croak so they can get some fresh blood and a better eye for beautiful women.

I always think, "These are the most beautiful women they can find???" when I see what they have been serving up lately. You would think there are a lot of women clamering to be in Pla***y.

They got off to a strong start this year with Dasha Astafieva and Jessica Burciaga, two gorgeous women who are much more deserving of the PMOY title than either of the twins. But we all know it's not going to happen......

And doubling up two months into a single issue? That's bullshit, plain and simple......

About the saving costs angle, I respect and understand that in this weak economy it's a inavoidable to cut costs, but the solution chosed is disappointing IMHO. The Big Man could have have included 2 regular Playmates with two centerfolds.

About his criteria electing women for PB, you don't like Crystal McHill, Hope Dworaczyk or Jessica Burciaga? If you are talking about about 'I'd like to pose for PB', in most cases the chosen woman wouldn't be interested.

Also, PB's image is very pooor in most circles around US and that is another obstacle to beat.

Crystal and Jennifer weren't ugly either. About the PMOY it's still too early to talk.

I just find some of his choices to be predictable.

Sorry, but it happened to me with Crystal McHill, before her Kayla Collins and before her Sandra Nilsson, Laura Croft and my choice for PMOY AJ Alexander. Regina is beautiful too but I personally prefer her German portfolio to her American portfolio. The latter seems lackluster. In short, I'm still very much impressed with his criteria to select PMOM. From what I read he is not that involved with the CG world. Anyway I accept that some of the latest aren't adequate but we are talking sbsaout 52 models for year. BTW, Marie Morgan is simply sensational.

Anyway, new eyes wiil come sooner or later. He has been the boss for 50 years, so...

Would be nice to see some talent rise up from the CGOW, Coed of the Week / Month, etc. Jamie Graham of Ohio State is one I'd love to see as a Playmate. Juliette Rose was a Coed of the Week who ended up winning Coed of the Month , and a few years later became a Playmate. Stephanie Eve was a CG who ended up reaching the Playmate ranks as "Stephanie Larimore". I'd like to see more of this, there's a lot of talent in the CG world.

I couldn't agree more, she's one of the most hideous PM ever... Looking forward to Karissa and Kristina Shannon in July, Hef's twins aren't the best looking blonds but anyone compare to Cassidy is an improvement. shudders...
